Chat With a Mormon Online
I have been a Mormon all my life and being the youngest of five children, it has been a real blessing to watch my older syblings grow up and watch them to develop and be inspirations to me. With three older brothers going on missions, i knew that that is what i wanted to do when i graduated. I was baptized at eight years of age and have been preparing ever since. Like everyone else i hit a few bumps in the road but thanks to the mercy of God, i was able to repent and decide for myself that i wanted to go on a mission.
I was born into the church but that did not give me my testimony of the church. Many things have given me a testimony. At a scout camp, we were challenged to read a certain section out of the Book of Mormon. During the week long camp, I pondered over this section and I could feel the holy spirit with me testify that the things i was reading were true. At another camp out, we were all asked to go and meditate by ourselves and read and pray all night long. The spirit was so strong that there was no denying that the church was true and that i was where in needed to be.
I have always attended church and if i missed a week, it would turn out to be a rough week. I am always blessed when I get to listen to my elders at church and hear the life lessons that they give. As a member of the Priesthood, I love that I get to bless or pass the sacrament everyweek and that thought is enough to keep me out of trouble for the week and make good decisions on who i hang out with and what choices i make. With the great friends i have all planning on going on missions, there really is no better time to have the church in my life.
